Women in SF&F Month: Sherwood Smith

The wonderful sartorias on women in sf/f. I love her historical perspective. Actually, I'm a bit in awe of it, since I am definitely not a historian, but I so appreciate the "long view." And the validation of our experiences in fandom:

She writes, "Many of these are women who dressed up in Star Trek or Jedi costumes in days of yore, wrote fanfiction, went to cons, cosplayed, and the like. It was all training. Then they went out into the world and did their part to make that world one they want to live in, even though no one seems to know their names."
